When looking to buy a property in the Algarve, it is well worth considering that coastline properties (south of E.N. 125) are generally considerably more expensive, they are usually in closer proximity to their neighbour and the life style is more international.
Properties north of the E.N. 125 are usually better value for money on bigger plots. If a drive of 15/20 minutes to the beach is not a problem for you then it is well worth considering this option. The lifestyle is more Portuguese and in general quieter. |

| For those who are looking to get away from it all but still have a sea view then the west coast is for you. At present properties in the Aljezur region are considerably cheaper than their equivalent on the south coast and are therefore well worth looking at if your budget is limited. |
